A clear view of your Bitcoin.
From your first address to your next confirmation. This guide explains what Satquay reads, what each number means, and how to make it useful.
Start with an address
- Open the app.Paste a Bitcoin mainnet address you want to observe. You can also ask a supported wallet extension to share its currently selected address.
- Load the public activity.Satquay checks the address and requests its balance, recent transactions and unspent outputs from a public Bitcoin data service.
- Make the view yours.Save an address to your local watchlist, choose alert conditions, and export the information you have loaded.
You keep the keys. Satquay does not ask for a seed phrase or private key, sign a transaction, or move bitcoin. An address lookup does not prove ownership.
Connect a wallet
The wallet connection is a convenient way to fill in a public address. With a supported UniSat browser extension, Satquay requests access to an account address. Approve that account-sharing request in your wallet to continue.
The app does not request a payment, message signature or spending permission. If you prefer not to connect an extension, paste an address instead. You can observe any valid public address without connecting a wallet.
One address is not your entire wallet
Bitcoin wallets commonly derive many receiving and change addresses. Satquay shows the address selected in the app. Other addresses in the same wallet will not appear automatically, and the displayed balance may differ from your wallet's total.
Watch an address
Use a complete mainnet address starting with 1, 3 or bc1. Satquay checks the basic format and asks the data provider to validate it. A plausible prefix alone is not enough: the address must have a valid checksum.
You can save up to 12 addresses. Saved addresses and their labels stay in this browser. Select a saved address to inspect it again. Removing an address from your watchlist removes that local entry; it has no effect on the address, wallet or blockchain.
The app's Overview summarizes the selected address. Activity shows recent transactions and unspent outputs. Plan & controls holds your local alert preferences, and Network shows current Bitcoin network information.
Only the selected address is refreshed. Saving several addresses creates a convenient watchlist; it does not start a background monitor for every saved address.
Understand the numbers
| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Confirmed balance | Confirmed outputs received by this address minus confirmed outputs spent from it. |
| Pending change | The net effect of unconfirmed transactions known to the data provider. It can be positive or negative. |
| Estimated total | Confirmed balance plus pending change. Pending transactions can be replaced, dropped or confirmed. |
| Net transaction change | Outputs paid to the selected address minus inputs spent from that address in the same transaction. |
| Unspent outputs | Individual transaction outputs the provider currently reports as unspent. A balance can contain many outputs. |
| Confirmations | The difference between the latest observed block height and a transaction's block height, plus one. |
A negative pending change can represent bitcoin being sent from an address whose inputs are still included in its confirmed balance. This is why pending change is shown separately.
Amounts are calculated in satoshis. One bitcoin is 100,000,000 satoshis. Transaction fees belong to the entire transaction; they are not necessarily a fee paid solely by the address you are observing.
When the output list is unavailable
The provider can reject an output-list request when an address has too many unspent outputs. Balance and transaction data can still load. Satquay marks the output list as unavailable and offers a retry; it does not interpret the missing list as zero outputs. A JSON export records this partial snapshot with utxos: null and utxoStatus: "unavailable".
Recent activity, with an explicit scope
The initial request returns up to 25 confirmed transactions and up to 50 pending transactions. Use Load older to request another page of confirmed transactions. A loaded activity list is not automatically the complete history of a heavily used address. Read any history and export scope shown in the app before relying on the result.
Set browser alerts
In Plan & controls, choose alerts for incoming activity, outgoing activity or a first confirmation. You can also set a fee-rate target and be alerted when the current high-priority recommendation is at or below it. Enable a rule to have Satquay check fresh observations for the selected address while the page is open and visible.
Rules and recent signal history are saved in this browser. A fresh address session establishes a new baseline; events that occurred while it was inactive are not replayed as alerts. When a condition is met, the app can show an alert. If browser notifications are available, enable them through the app and approve the browser's separate permission request.
Keep the app open. Checks run while this page is open and visible. Switching away from the page, closing it, sleeping the device, losing the connection or browser throttling can interrupt checks. Satquay does not run an always-on server watcher or send email, SMS or Telegram alerts.
An alert is an observation, not an action on your funds. Satquay cannot cancel an outgoing transaction, freeze an address, guarantee a confirmation time or automatically exit a Bitcoin position.
Read the network
Network displays the latest block height and fee recommendations reported by the public data provider. Fee rates are expressed in sat/vB: satoshis per virtual byte of transaction size.
Recommendations describe current conditions. They are estimates, not a reserved place in a block. A transaction's total fee depends on its virtual size, and confirmation timing depends on miner selection and changing demand.
Use Refresh to request a new observation. The app reports loading and error states; unavailable data should be treated as unavailable, not as a zero balance. Check the last-updated indicator when connectivity is uncertain.
Export your view
Use the app's export controls to download JSON or CSV. JSON includes local settings, watchlist entries, alert preferences and the current loaded snapshot. CSV contains the currently loaded transactions for opening in a spreadsheet.
Exports are snapshots of the information currently available to the app. They do not attest to ownership, include private keys or constitute a complete wallet accounting report. A recent-activity export must not be mistaken for an address's full lifetime history.
Keep an export if you need a copy outside this browser. Clearing browser storage can remove saved labels, watchlist entries and alert preferences. Satquay does not maintain a cloud backup.
Common questions
Can I use a testnet or Lightning address?
This release observes Bitcoin mainnet addresses. Testnet addresses, Lightning invoices and Lightning balances are outside this view.
Why is my wallet balance different?
Your wallet may include multiple addresses, change outputs or a different view of unconfirmed transactions. Satquay reads only the selected address from its public data source.
Why did a pending transaction disappear?
The transaction may have confirmed, been replaced, or left the provider's mempool. A mempool is a node's view of unconfirmed transactions, not a permanent blockchain record.
Does saving a watchlist make my address private?
No. Preferences are local, but looking up an address requires a data service to receive the query. The service may associate it with connection metadata. See Limits & privacy.
Does Satquay protect or recover my funds?
Satquay improves visibility. It does not hold keys, prevent theft, provide insurance, reverse transfers or recover funds. Use your wallet's own security and backup procedures.

The field definitions follow the mempool.space REST API and the Esplora HTTP API specification. Satquay is an independent project and is not affiliated with either provider.
